Suluada Island — A Complete Visitor Guide

May 28, 2025 4 min read Rizzi Travel Team

Suluada — the "Turkish Maldives" — is the highlight of many trips to the Kemer coast. Here is everything you need to know before you go, from what to bring to what the day actually looks like.

1. Getting there

Suluada is only accessible by boat, with most tours departing from Adrasan pier after a scenic 45-minute transfer from Kemer-area hotels. There is no jetty on the island itself — you swim or wade ashore from the anchored boat.

2. What to bring

Pack reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, water shoes for the rocks, and a waterproof phone pouch. Snorkelling equipment and lunch are included on our tour, so you can travel light.

3. Best time to visit

The water is warmest and calmest from June to September. Book a few days ahead in peak season, as boats fill quickly and the island has a daily visitor limit to protect its environment.
