Some performances are entertainment. This one is something else entirely. The Fire of Anatolia brings 120 professional dancers onto the largest stage in the world, performing a fusion of Anatolian folk dance, classical ballet and contemporary movement that has been seen by over 20 million people across 85 countries. From April to November, the setting is the Ancient Aspendos Theatre, a Roman amphitheatre built in the 2nd century AD with a seating capacity of 4,700, its stone tiers and monumental stage façade forming a backdrop that no purpose-built venue on earth can replicate. The show runs at up to 241 steps per minute at its peak, making it one of the fastest dances ever performed. Dinner is included before the performance, transfers run from hotels in Belek and Kundu, and the evening ends with a show that is genuinely difficult to forget.
